CP FOODLAB

CPRAM established the CP FOODLAB, a research and development company, which includes making offers to conduct food analyses, located at the Food Inno-polis Project, Innovation Group Building 2 (INC2) National Science and Development Agency in Pathum Thani province. Originally it was the CPRAM Research and Development Office that concentrated on handling problems and challenges from CPRAM making future-related propositions for basic research and applied research to be sent further to the New Product Development Team (NPD). At present the CP FOODLAB is the data center for research and development and also a center for tests backing up the research and development of food products of the Charoen Pokphand Group and other companies domestically and overseas.

In this regard, CPRAM uses 1 percent of its annual turnover or 150-200 million baht for investing in research and development so as to create our own technology and innovations in order to push our business to the next higher level of CPRAM 4.0. This is an important contributing factor in the raising of the capability of Thailand to become a center of innovation in the Asian region. Moreover, CPRAM will use biotechnology for developing health foods and foods for particular groups of people, such as the elderly, food for children and food for persons suffering from diabetes.
