The “CPRAM Green Life”
#Growing for a Sustainable
World” Project
CPRAM continues to increase the green
areas in Thailand to strengthen the
ecosystem and promote carbon dioxide
absorption. Therefore, CPRAM has planted
trees to restore degraded forests,
including terrestrial forests, community
forests and mangrove forests. At present,
more than 14,000 trees have been planted
(2020-2022) on an area of more than
70 rai, which can absorb 1,313.85 tons
of carbon dioxide.
The “Sustainable Blue Swimmer Crabsfor
Thai Sea” Project
CPRAM together with the Department of Fisheries
by Coastal Aquaculture Research and Development
Regional Center 3 (Surat Thani) and Viya Crab
Products Co., Ltd. have increased the number of
blue swimmer crabs in the coastal area of Koh Sed, The “CPRAM Green Life #Hundred Thousand
Surat Thani by supporting food and equipment Plants into Hundred Thousand Trees” Project
necessary for culturing blue swimmer crabs outside CPRAM continually aims to increase green areas in
the shell and releasing young crabs back into the Thailand, promoting and raising awareness among
sea continuously from 2012 to present. Over the employees and communities with the support from the
10 years period, CPRAM has released more than Royal Forest Department who helps to deliver seedlings
900,000 young blue swimmer crabs and has set
a goal of releasing 1 million young blue swimmer such as padauk, teak, Yang Na, and rosewood trees to
crabs by 2022. employees to plant in their own hometowns as well as
in the community areas near the seven factories and
public areas. More than 65,000 seedlings have been
delivered to date (2021-2022).
